Detlef Niesielski was born in Oelsnitz in the former East Germany. He was born into a family of artists, and so his talent was discovered
and nurtured very early in life. Detlef drew portraits of family members, cartoon strips, and pretty much all he could lay his hands on.
In 1989, he specialized in sceen printing techniques, learning about the different mixes of colors and texts. He left screen printing in
1990. to pursue his art.
